Timber Totts Childcare
Timber Totts is a large family operated and privately owned childcare centre in Brisbane. Total Uniform Solutions has been supplying uniforms and merchandise for over 3 years.
Prior to coming on board as a client, not only were Timber Totts sourcing through multiple vendors, but they were paying a premium price for poor quality products. Because they didn’t have a streamlined procurement process, they also had to manually manage their uniform program offline, causing significant pressures on internal resources. They were also experiencing ongoing variances with their branding, colours – regularly being let down with delivery times.
Total Uniform Solutions offered not only a wealth of expertise in the early childhood education sector, but we were able to easily consolidate their procurement efforts and bring all under one roof. The fact we could customise not only apparel but also merchandise was also a big advantage.
Working with the client to understand their specific requirements, we developed a variety of uniform items, merchandise and display items that met their branding needs, was easy-care, cost-effective and could be delivered in bulk, at speed. For staff, we deliver customised staff polo shirts, vests, puffer jackets and aprons.
For students we deliver customised, colour-coded kids polo shirts in infant and kids sizing, sublimated bucket hats and graduation shirts. Merchandise items such as custom library bags, custom sports day ribbons, marquee tents and 3-metre teardrop flag banners also give more opportunities for Timber Totts to promote their brand and engage their community.
Cost-effectiveness was a key consideration for this client, so we opted for a hybrid uniform program consisting of stock service core apparel items blended with customised “statement” items where we could be more playful with the design. The Friday fun shirts and bucket hats are a wonderful example of this, and because of our low minimums, this gave Timber Totts access to fully customised product and only order what they needed.
The entire uniform and merchandise range is easily managed through their online ordering portal, B2BHub, which helps the team quickly place orders, manage their expenditure, track deliveries, and more. This technology has saved the client countless hours every week managing the procurement efforts manually – allowing staff to focus on other things within the business.
As orders are periodically placed within B2BHub, the stock garments are sourced from our suppliers and embellished with the Timber Totts logo in our local facility before being dispatched. This process enables us to respond quickly and get the product delivered quickly from the time of order.
