Datacom
Datacom is an international company who design, build and run IT systems and process for businesses, and they are the biggest privately owned company in the southern hemisphere. Total Uniform Solutions have been working with Datacom for 5 years, and are one of our biggest clients.
When Datacom first started working with us, each office was sourcing their uniforms, merchandise and event signage locally and there was no consistency. This was causing issues with quality control, price consistency, reliability of smaller local suppliers and, more importantly, not achieving a cohesive, coordinated brand image across the business.
Working closely with Datacom Australia/NZ Head of Marketing, Total Uniform Solutions’ first task was to develop a comprehensive International Catalogue of Items. We worked out all the items the company would likely use in each market and carefully selected a product for each need – and that would also engage Datacom’s unique audience. We sourced everything from uniform requirements across the business, what promotional items the company used, what polo shirts they use for events, and even how their conference apparel, merchandise, novelty items and signage should look.
All items were branded appropriately and documented in the Catalogue of Items which was then issued as the new standard to all business units internationally. The net result was not only significant cost efficiencies but a more streamlined approach to branding.
The Catalogue of Items has also saved employees a lot of time sourcing, managing and embellishing apparel and merchandise needs – now all the decisions have been made for them and they simply order the item online and it gets dispatched directly to their office of choice.
